Mr and Mrs Jones and their teenage daughter loved in an inadequate two-bedroom council home. Mrs Jones is disabled and could not access the toilet, and Mr Jones, with limited mobility, could not help her. The council recognised their need for a larger adapted home, but when the Bedroom Tax came in they were told they were not eligible after all. With the Law Centre’s help, this decision was reversed. Now they can care for one another in an appropriate home, needing only minimal outside care.
