Immigration & Asylum Solicitor
We are seeking an experienced IAAS Level 2 or above Immigration & Asylum Solicitor. Applicants should have a minimum of three years’ experience of Immigration and Asylum law. We also want you to have Legal Aid Agency (LAA) Supervisor Status or to be able to get this in a short time frame.

Luton Law Centre was formed in 1989. Since then, we have been providing members of the local community with specialist legal advice. We are a small team of committed and passionate social welfare lawyers and caseworkers. We are part of the Law Centre Network. This movement specialises in providing advice, casework and representation to the most disadvantaged members in the community.
We run a wide range of Immigration and Asylum cases covered by Legal Aid, as well as fixed fee immigration advice and casework. Our Immigration Solicitors also provide advice through our specialist telephone advice line on a rota basis.

The post-holder will form an integral part of the team that delivers our Immigration and Asylum Legal Aid Agency contract, fixed fee advice and casework, and first and second tier support under the EU Settled Status Complex Cases Project. You will also participate in the rota to provide advice through our specialist telephone advice line
We are seeking candidates who can offer 35 hours per week. We are open to a jobshare and/or a certain degree of flexibility. Applicants should have a minimum of three years' experience of Immigration and Asylum law and have IAAS Level 2. We are interested in candidates who have LAA Supervisor Status, or are able to achieve this within a reasonable timeframe.
The salary offered for this post is £30,000 - £32,000 depending on experience and qualifications for a candidate who already holds LAA Supervisor Status.
